Keep Shopify and Yuki updated automatically.

Yuki runs on automatic processing: your accountant works inside Yuki and wants sales delivered as clean, structured data the robotics books without manual work. Shopify knows everything about your sales, with orders, refunds, Shopify Payments payouts, order tags and a per-country VAT setting through Shopify Markets, but it does not deliver that in the shape a bookkeeper wants. Schakel reads your Shopify orders and turns them into tidy sales invoices that Yuki picks up automatically, with the customer as a relation and the payment delivered clearly.

What travels across the link

Everything this connector moves between Shopify and Yuki, and how often.

  1. Orders ready for automatic processing

Every Shopify order becomes a sales invoice with a line per product, shipping on its own line and the order number as reference, delivered in the shape Yuki recognises and books itself. The customer is looked up as a relation by email or created.

  2. VAT rate per line and Shopify Markets

Standard, reduced, 0% and reverse charge are set per line at the right rate. If your Shopify Markets sells to Germany or France, the line gets the destination country rate, ready for your OSS return in Yuki.

  3. Shopify Payments payout recognisable

The Shopify Payments payout is delivered as a payment on the ledger account you link to Shopify Payments, with transaction fees apart. Yuki processes that automatically, so your bank balance reconciles without ticking off by hand.

  4. Refunds and B2B reverse charge

A refund in Shopify becomes a credit note for the amount actually refunded. B2B orders with a valid VAT number, recognisable by an order tag, are delivered as reverse charge so Yuki books them without a rate.

In four steps

Setting it up

  1. 01

    Connect Shopify

You install Schakel on your Shopify store and grant access to your orders and refunds. Nothing sits in your checkout, Schakel only reads what has already sold.

  2. 02

    Give Schakel access to Yuki

You give Schakel an access key for the Yuki administration the invoices should land in. Your password is never asked for or stored, and your accountant keeps working in Yuki as usual.

  3. 03

    Tune the delivery

You decide how VAT, shipping and Shopify Payments are delivered, and steer on order tags to keep channels or B2B apart, so it matches how your accountant wants to see it in Yuki.

  4. 04

    Check and let it run

You see the first bookings back in Yuki before you rely on it. Once it looks right, new orders and refunds flow in by themselves and everything shows up in the Schakel log.

Common questions

Is the Shopify to Yuki connector available?

Request this connector and get access. You let us know you want to link Shopify to Yuki, and we make sure you can get started. You hear from us within 24 hours.

Does this work with Yuki automatic processing?

Yes, that is what it is built for. Schakel delivers your Shopify orders as structured invoices, so Yuki robotics picks them up and books them and your accountant only reviews.

How is VAT per country handled for Shopify Markets?

Schakel reads the destination country and the VAT Shopify put on the order, and delivers the matching rate per line so Yuki books it right. Sales above the EU threshold arrive ready for your OSS return.

Does the Shopify Payments payout reconcile with my bank?

The payout is delivered as a payment on the ledger you link to Shopify Payments, with transaction fees apart. Yuki processes that automatically, so your bank balance stays right.

Can I book several Shopify stores into one Yuki administration?

Yes. Several Shopify stores can feed the same Yuki administration, each with its own ledger accounts or order tags if you want to keep them apart.

Can you connect Shopify to Yuki?

Yes. Schakel connects through the official APIs of Shopify and Yuki, so you install nothing on your own server and nothing travels outside those two parties.

Which VAT rate do my sales get in Yuki?

The rate is set per line: 21%, 9% or 0%. Sales to Belgium and other EU countries get the rate of the destination country, ready for your OSS return.

Are commission and fees booked separately in Yuki?

Yes. Commission, shipping and other fee types each land on their own ledger account in Yuki, rather than in one lump sum, so your margin stays readable.
